LRFC MINIS & JUNIORS
ABOUT
Following another tremendous season for both the mini and junior sections the 2009/10 season cannot come around quickly enough.
Again we find ourselves in the wonderful position in being sponsored by Kensey foods our new look match shirts will be launched in September so watch this space for an update.
As a mini / junior section we are very fortunate to have close ties with the 1st team and have ongoing input from the management, coaches and players that gives all teams from the under 7s to the under 16s a great sense of club belonging, support and encouragement.
This season also sees extensive training pitch improvements that will give us an extra full size pitch and more training facilities. Launceston R.F.C is a wider community club.
We welcome all players irrespective of ability, and actively encourage parents and guardians to join in the spirit of the club and the game
Most teams train on a Wednesday (contact club for details) and aim to play most Sundays.
Launceston Rugby Football Club is not just a place to play rugby but is a place to learn the values of being part of a team, make friendships that last and build memories to keep forever.

The Aims and Values of the Club regarding youth development are:-
AIMS
· To encourage 300+ young people to enjoy rugby at Launceston.
· To ensure each team has the opportunity to tour either at Club or Festival level.
· To increase the profile of the club locally to ensure people understand we are a community based organisation.
· To develop an integrated relationship with the senior club to ensure the talent developed is realised by local players having the opportunity of playing for their senior club.
· For the players, committee and parents to actively enjoy rugby and the social interaction it brings.
VALUES
We will recognise:
· Mixed ability players and look to develop the skill set of all.
· Our playing ethos is to judge our performance on team level, skill, fairness, honesty and not necessarily winning (although it would be nice!).
· That Launceston Mini/junior R.F.C is a community based club and that we need to establish a reputation for high standards in all that we do by the wider community and our sponsors.
· For the club to be successful, we need our parents to be more actively involved in the club in any way, be it, fund-raising, or supporting events fully.
