Just
wanted to say that there was no shame in the way that the All
Blacks played at Franklins Gardens today and, speaking as an ardent
Saints supporter, we're truly sorry that Saints were the ones
to deliver the fatal blow that confirmed demotion for you today.
Your lads won the hearts and admiration of all at the match by
their spirit and commitment, they played their hearts out right
up to the final whistle, top team!
Seeing several of the Launceston team in tears after the match
brought back vivid memories of our final match at the Gardens
this time last year, we had won through to the closing stages
of the Heineken Cup but lost the real fight - to stay in the Premiership,
it was us and our players in tears at that time. But it's all
about commitment, optimism and self-belief now, you need to use
these heart-wrenching moments today as fuel to spur you on next
season in National Two to ensure that you get promoted back again
after the 2008/9 season. |
